This page used to invite dealerships to sign up so I'd contact them when a client was shopping in their area. Fewer than ten ever signed up, and I never used it — not on a single deal.

I built it while trying to figure out how to grow. Then I sat with what it actually does. The moment you have a list of dealers, you're not shopping the market for your client anymore — you're working your list. You'll tell yourself you still check everywhere. But the store that picks up on the first ring and gets you numbers in twenty minutes is going to get the call, every time, because you're busy and because it works.

A dealer list destroys the thing I'm selling. So I closed it.

I take no money from dealerships, in either direction. I never have.
